Billing Information

At Lewes Surgery Center, we make all efforts to ensure covered services. Once insurance information is received, we will check your insurance benefits to provide an estimate of expected out of pocket cost for the facility. We will contact you ahead of surgery to relay any estimated balances due including deductible, coinsurance, and/or copays. In the event you are unable to pay in full, you may discuss payment options with the billing department, this discussion should take place for an agreeable payment plan prior to your scheduled surgery date. We will file primary and secondary insurance plans on your behalf. Any additional balances due after insurance processing will be billed to you accordingly.

Forms of payments accepted are cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. The returned check fee is $40.00 in the event of non-sufficient funds. Unpaid balances which are referred to a collection agency will include an additional fee of 28% of the unpaid balance. We encourage all patients to work with us to accomplish agreeable payment plans as necessary to avoid additional fees.

We accept the below insurances and offer Self-Pay rates where no insurance exists. Cost for Self-Pay services will be addressed in advance of scheduling surgery. Payment plans are typically not allowed for Self-Pay services. We will also file out of network insurance plans as a courtesy to you and work with you on out-of-pocket fees depending on your in and out of network benefits. Please contact our billing department with any questions. We look forward to working with you and being a part of your health care experience.
